Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyalaya, at Jalna was established in 1993 with the inspiration of Honorable Dr.Badrinarayanji Barwale and late Shri Vasantraoji Deshpande. With the firm belief that people can uplift themselves socially and economically if literate, the institution intends to give quality education to the needy sections of the society.The Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyala has a sprawling 7 acres campus located at Jalna-Aurangabad highway.
Today, Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyalaya is one of the best educational institutions in the region. The members of this institution always try to create a genuine atmosphere of well-being and cooperation in the field of knowledge.
Strongly believing in “Excellence through Education”,Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyalaya considers students as a center point of its educational activities. Importance is given to healthy communication among parents, teachers, management and the government.
The current era is of Biotechnology and Information technology. In order to cater the needs of this era Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyalaya had introduced Computer Science and Microbiology as optional subjects' way back in 1993. A Post- Graduation course in Biotechnology was commenced in 2001, to meet the growing need of biotech personnel.
Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyalaya is credited with pioneering the “Earn and Learn” scheme for the first time.
10 -15 needy students are selected under this scheme every year. Through this scheme, economically backward students are encouraged to earn their “Pocket Money” on their own by under taking some tasks which are beneficial for the college as well as for themselves. The scheme lets students realize the importance of earning money and also calibrates a platform for them so that they can support themselves in the economic front to some extent. Economic backwardness should not become a hurdle to carry on higher education. The main objective of 'Earn and Learn' scheme is to facilitate the economically backward students by setting a pathway which serves dual purpose. Since its inception, this scheme is being run very successfully which has proven a boon for the students.
The activities that are carried out Under “Earn and Learn Scheme” are:
1. To clean the premises
2. To tend to the tree plantation & Botanical garden.
3. Some female & male sweepers on fixed pay are also appointed to clean the washrooms.
4. There is one committee for monitoring the beautification & cleanliness of the campus daily.
5. Cleaning & washing the floors of all the wings in the building.
Thus, students also inculcate the habit of maintaining the place where they study, while they earn pocket money as well. |
